Please note that this Review may contain spoilers from the Base game

Some key points that this game add on has to offer:

  1. New contracts to complete.
  2. New weapons and other gear that you can collect.
  3. New Gwent cards are just waiting to be collected.
  4. An old friend…
A meeting you won’t soon forget.

This DLC adds onto the base game; adding new locations that can be visited and explored along with new characters and items.

This DLC can be played from the main menu as a standalone game without the need to play through the base game.

Just chilling with a ghost.

MGR Gaming’s Conclusions:

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Hearts of Stone is the first official expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and with it comes a brand new story and a whole bag of other goodies.

A favour for a favour… If you recall, back in White Orchid, whilst visiting an inn, you were given help to find Yennefer by a mysterious traveller… Turns out that that mysterious traveller is none other than the Merchant of mirrors and now he has come to claim the favour owed to him.

The lady in Black.

Your task is to defeat a Bandit Captain, ruthless and emotionless to his very core…. Aspects making this task more acceptable; however, this bandit is immortal so simply killing him isn’t possible…

Defeating said bandit requires the completion of three impossible tasks that will truly test your skill and perseverance.

It is not all doom and gloom, choices play an important role here and you get to decide how this tale ends, and to further sweeten the pot, you get to meet up with an old special acquaintance for a night out on the town. This little DLC also boasts some new goodies for you to collect including some powerful gear and new Gwent cards.
