State Of Decay 2 Heartland Review

Return to where it all started…

Please note that this Review may contain spoilers from the Base game

Some key points that this game add on has to offer:

  1. New Game Mode
  2. Narrative-driven single-player Campaign with branching storylines
  3. Deadlier Blood Plague Freaks await
  4. Answers to long awaited questions
So many memories here..

Heartland takes us back to where it all began. Our adventure and the source of the outbreak. Choose from two pairs of starting Hero’s, each with their own reasons for coming here.

Your goal is to find people close to you who you have lost contact with. You will claim a new base Trumbull valley, then from there you will meet and start working with other survivors. The one hand washes the other. As you help them, they will reward and aid you in return.

Now what might that be…

The Heartland story line will keep you busy for a good six to ten hours depending on how thorough you are. There is tons to do and a whole lot of answers to find.

MGR Gaming’s Conclusions:

The next best thing! We get to go back to where this great journey started… Meeting some familiar faces from the past, even recruiting some… As you progress deeper and deeper into the new story line, things get deadlier as you go up against deadlier versions of the Zombies and Freaks you have gotten so used to slaying

From the start, we claim the largest possible base there is and set out to find answers. Build up your base and make sure to carry extra ammo. The fight is deadlier than ever before. Last but not least, we finally get some long awaited answers…

Zombies out in the wild…

Heartland is a truly fun experience that offered us some new unique challenges and dangers, but in the end, the rewards and outcome more than made up for it!
