State of Decay: YOSE Review
The Grand Zombie Massacre is back for more… and with it come several new goodies.
Please note that this Review may contain spoilers from the Original game
Some key points that this Edition offers:
- Remastered visuals and graphics for 1080p.
- New Missions.
- New Survivors.
- New vehicles and vehicle skins.
- New weapons.
- Both DLC’s are included in this version of the game.
State of Decay: YOSE brings the same amazing game we experienced back then but upgraded, improved and enhanced so that we can experience it all over again with remastered visuals and several new goodies to make the ride that much more memorable.
The original hasn’t aged badly at all; however, better graphics are always better and the remastered visual certainly delivers that beautifully to us. We have better textures this time around making things look so much smoother. Adding to the new look are much better lighting conditions and improved animations, thus ensuring our experience is a visual marvel.
Mysterious supply drops started appearing over the map, incredibly dangerous to explore but if you do manage to clear out the infestation surrounding them, you will be rewarded with not only new but very powerful weapons. Along with this new gear comes some new rides and some pimped out ones. Why drive a boring car when down the road one can be found pimped out with a fancy decal kit.
Another amazing add on to this version of the game, is that the two DLC’s for the game come included with it, giving you the option to experience Breakdown and Lifeline with remastered visuals and improvements. Adding to this is the new Survivors that you can play with when playing Breakdown.

MGR Gaming’s Conclusions:
State of Decay was one amazing experience, at the time it was exactly what any Zombie fan wanted in terms of a Zombie Apocalypse game. It catered for everything we could want. Missions, upgrades, survival and an open world sandbox mode in a massive area. We had it all and darn it was fun.
We invested hundreds of hours into the game, scavenging all the best loot, building up our Home Base and levelling up all our survivors so that no Zombie army could every breach our walls. We had it all.
Whether you are a first time player or a returning one, the YOSE edition has it all for you, nothing has changed from the original game, it is exactly the fun and amazing way it was back then. Several things got added to the game, making it better and more enjoyable.
The improved visuals do make it that much more to look at, and the added DLC’s are another bonus for this game. No matter how you look at it, this game is simply amazing and now that it has this variant it is all that and more.
This is one adventure that you must experience, whether you’ve played the original or not. It is waiting for you.
